The City of Aliquippa website provides access to a variety of information resources of interest to city residents, commercial establishments and visitors. Projex IMC worked with city officials and managers to identify and convey key information in a new, user-friendly format. Quick links, date pickers and drill-down filters (tags) help users navigate through the site to quickly find the information they require.
Key features of the site include news and event feeds, a community directory, a document library and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section. The site also features a photo gallery, a brief summary of the city’s history, a Community Initiatives section to showcase economic development projects and an advanced search engine. Custom content types were used to simplify content management … allowing staff members to maintain much of the site’s content internally. Projex IMC provides hosting services and ongoing support for complex content on a monthly basis.

The redesigned site has significantly enhanced the “findability” of content for end users, and it presents that content in a modern, mobile-friendly interface. It also allows staff members to update the site internally, reducing operating costs to better utilize government resources.
