Local Pickup and Delivery
Projex IMC provides pick up and delivery services for local business/municipal clients requesting computer diagnostic/repair services performed at our facility. We currently charge a $15.00 pickup/delivery fee for each request.
Computer Diagnostics and Cyber Cleanup Services
Our computer diagnostics and cyber cleanup service can return your computer to optimum performance. We run hardware diagnostics on your computer and verify that it passes these tests successfully. We ensure that the hard drive is running without any error. Based on the result of our diagnostic tests, repairs may be necessary to return the computer hardware to optimal operation.
We check the computer’s anti-virus software to ensure that it is up to date. If no anti-virus program is found, we can install one for you (licensing fees will apply). The anti-virus software is then run to determine if any viruses are present on the computer. We use a series of programs, including Malwarebytes, CCleaner, Adwcleaner and JRT (Junkware Removal Tool) to detect and remove any malware, adware or junkware found on the system.
Replacement of Faulty Components
Based on the results from our computer diagnostics, it may be necessary to replace faulty components on the computer. These components may include memory modules (RAM), hard disk drives, power supplies or LCD displays.
Computer Component Upgrades
In some instances it may be possible to upgrade computer components in order to increase the performance (speed) of an older computer. Increasing the amount of memory (RAM) and/or replacing the hard disk drive with a Solid State Drive (SSD) can often significantly increase the computer’s performance.
Windows Re-Installation
In certain circumstances, like perhaps a particularly nasty virus removal process, it may be necessary to re-install the computer’s operating system (Windows). In cases where Windows needs to be re-installed, user data (My Documents, and other user information) can be backed up (in most cases) and then restored after the operating system installation.
