Whether you need a single computer installation, a new application added to an existing environment, support for an office relocation or the design of an entirely new network, Projex IMC can help. We also consider future needs, making sure your network is ready to grow with your business as required. Typical steps taken during a computer network design project include:

Site Survey and Needs Assessment

This phase of a computer network design project documents the current state of a new or existing facility by producing physical and logical diagrams of the facility, along with documentation of all computer network assets. Based on the findings of our site survey and your business objectives, Projex IMC’s needs assessment will outline the major hardware, software and design components required.

Computer Network Design

Projex IMC will design the computer network and produce a physical layout detailing network drop locations, cabling runs, cabinets, racks, network equipment (routers, wi-fi routers, wi-fi access points, security appliances or next generation firewalls, network switches), servers, PCs, printers, copiers, etc. The network design is then reviewed with you to ensure operational requirements, growth requirements, and budget requirements are met.

At this point changes are easily handled and re-designed into the plan.

Implementation and Installation

Equipment procurement, staging, configuration, software installation and testing takes place at our facility. Installation, relocation, setup and testing at the customer’s facility is scheduled according to business requirements and a go live date is established. After installation, testing, integration and thorough verification at go live, the system is then considered complete (in production) and ready for post-implementation support.

Post-Implementation Support

Post-implementation support options range from a monthly Managed IT Services agreement with Projex IMC, to remote monitoring and maintenance packages, help desk services, and backup/disaster recovery and business continuity services.

Advanced Network Monitoring

Our Advanced Network Monitoring service delivers deep visibility into network infrastructure and all connected devices … providing continuous awareness of performance, availability and operational status. Our platform is designed to support proactive management, rapid troubleshooting and long-term reliability across modern business networks.

Automated Network Discovery and Asset Identification

The platform automatically discovers all devices connected to the network, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, workstations, printers, IoT devices and specialized equipment. Devices are identified by type, role and manufacturer, creating an accurate and continuously updated network inventory.

Real-Time Monitoring and Intelligent Alerts

Network devices and services are monitored in real time for availability, respnsivness, and performance thresholds. Intelligent alerts detect outages, latency, interfacee failures and abnormal behavior, enabling rapid response times before issues impact users or operations.

Performance, Traffic and Connectivity Insight

Key performance metrics such as bandwidth utilization, packet loss, latency and interface errors are continuously tracked. This insight supports early identification of congestion, unstable connections and performance degradation across wired and wireless networks.

Remote Access and Troubleshooting Capabilities

Secure remote access tools enable administrators to troubleshoot and manage network devices without requiring on-site presence. This accelerates issue resolution, reduces downtime and improves support efficiency.

Topology Mapping and Network Visualization

Visual network maps display device relationships, connectivity paths and dependencies. These visualizations simplify troubleshooting, support documentation, and provide clear insight into network structure and data flow.

Reporting, Trending and Proactive Planning

Historical reporting and trend analysis provide insight into network usage and performance over time. This data supports proactive capacity planning, infrastructure optimization and informed decision-making as business needs evolve.

Centralized Management and Operational Alignment

All monitoring and management functions are delivered through a centralized platform, enabling consistent oversight, standardized operations and integration with broader IT management and security processes.
