An effective website is never complete … it is constantly evolving/adapting to reflect the needs of your intended audience. Projex IMC offers flexible, affordable web content management services and training programs to help keep your website up-to-date and relevant to users.
On a very basic level, web content management is the process used to ensure that new information (product or service updates, personnel changes, policy updates, etc.) is presented to website visitors in a compelling and timely manner … and to ensure that outdated information is removed or updated as quickly as possible. However, the content management process also includes search optimization (SEO) and performance management functions, both of which contribute to search engine results page (SERP) rankings and traffic retention. Ideally, the content management process represents a cycle, beginning with a periodic audit of existing digital assets (web pages, downloadable documents, images and other content elements) to maximize accuracy and visibility. Outdated information is removed and new content added — as needed — typically using a web content management system such as WordPress.
Whether managed internally or through a service agreement with Projex IMC, all aspects of the web content management process are critical to the success of your digital marketing efforts. A governance plan is often useful, particularly on a larger website, to help the web content management team understand who “owns” responsibility for each piece of content on the site. Approval workflows and other web content management guidelines may also be included. Defined roles (administrator, editor, author, contributor) are available within the software to support common publishing workflows. Projex IMC can also configure custom roles, as required, to facilitate extraordinary approval scenarios.
Training is available for clients who would like to manage some or all of their web content internally.
